The Corvus Group, Inc. has been engaged by federal agencies to provide on-going surveillance, oversight and compliance monitoring services related to their equity participation in multiple complex partnership arrangements with large financial institutions who serve as the Managing Members of such partnerships.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Advisory Services Group of the Chicago office. The Manager, Equity Monitoring will be responsible for planning, supervising and reviewing the analysis of required financial information submitted by the Managing Members in accordance with their respective partnership agreements.  He/She will also be responsible for the preparation and execution of semi-annual site visitations to the Managing Members, and also prepare and/or review the preparation of required reporting to the appropriate federal agencies.  The successful candidate will be expected to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects and competing priorities and will be expected to work additional hours, as needed.  He/She will initially manage a staff of two to three financial specialists and will report directly to the Director of the Advisory Services Group.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated collegiate success resulting in a degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Five to seven years experience working in the professional sector, preferably in the real estate or financial institution department of a public accounting firm
  • Three to four years of project management experience including the direct supervision of other professionals
  • A high level of attention to detail, including an auditor’s approach to documentation of analysis results
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience using MS Excel and MS Word
  • The ability to manage and motivate direct reports with a drive for results
  • Flexibility in approach to work, problem solving and new projects
  • Outstanding work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Openness to working in a start-up business environment where workload and processes are rapidly changing and developing
